Scenes allow you to adjust the settings of multiple devices with one simple tap. For example, you may want to create a Scene that turns off a lamp, changes the thermostat temperature, and locks your door.

 

Creating a Scene:

In order to create Scenes in your SmartRent App, follow these steps:

1. Tap Scenes in the bottom bar menu 
2. Tap + in the bottom right-hand corner
   
   
3. Name your New Scene 
   
4. Tap the Check in the upper right-hand corner
5. Select the Current Icon you want for the scene 
6. Tap the Check in the upper right-hand corner
7. Choose a Scene Color
8. Tap the Check in the upper right-hand corner
9. Select a Device and specific settings for that device (Mode, Turn On, Unlock, etc.)
10. Tap the Check in the upper right-hand corner
11. Review the Scene and tap the Check in the upper right-hand corner to save
    
12. Tap Scenes in the bottom bar menu to see your newly created Scene (your new Scene will also display below your name on the app’s home screen)
13. Repeat steps 6-8 for as many devices as you want to add to your Scene

The new Scene will appear on your home page, you will just need to tap on the desired Scene to play it, or you can go back to the list of Scenes under the Scenes tab and execute it from there as well.

 

Editing and Deleting a Scene:

In order to edit or delete Scenes in your SmartRent App, follow these steps:

1. 1. Tap Scenes in the bottom bar menu
   2. Tap Edit in the upper left-hand corner
   3. Tap the specific Scene you wish to edit or delete
      
      
   4. To edit the Scene, tap on the individual parts of the Scene (Devices, Name, Color, or Icon) 
      • Make desired changes
      • Tap the Check in the upper right-hand corner
   5. To delete the Scene, tap Delete this Scene
      • Tap Confirm
