How Do I Control My Thermostat In the SmartRent Mobile App?

The SmartRent App easily gives you the ability to remotely adjust your home’s temperature and fan settings from anywhere. 

 

Adjusting Your Thermostat’s Mode:

To adjust your Thermostat’s Mode using your SmartRent App, follow these steps:

  1. Tap on your Thermostat on the Home screen under My Devices
  2. Tap the Mode Options bar for your control options
    • To turn the thermostat off completely, tap Off
    • To turn on your air conditioning, tap Cool
    • To turn on your heater, tap Heat
    • To keep your home from getting too hot or too cold, tap Auto

Adjusting the Fan Mode:

Your HVAC system’s fan is a motor that circulates air around your home. When set to Auto, the fan only circulates when the HVAC is cooling or heating the air. But when set to On, the fan will continuously circulate air throughout your home, even if the air isn’t getting cooled or heated. 

To adjust your fan settings using your SmartRent App, follow these steps:

  1. Tap on your Thermostat on the Home screen under My Devices
  2. Locate the fan option
    • To keep the fan on, tap On
    • To automate the fan, tap Auto

 

Adjusting Your Home’s Temperature:

To adjust the temperature using your SmartRent App, follow these steps:

  1. Tap on your Thermostat on the Home screen under My Devices
  2. Use your finger to tap the up or down arrow to adjust the temperature
